Which Children Can Join This Program?

There are certain age and class limits for children to get educational scholarships. Children who fall within these limits are considered eligible for this program:

Class Age Limit

• Primary: 4 to 12 years
• Secondary: 8 to 18 years
• Higher Secondary: 13 to 22 years

These age limits are set so that only those children who are actually studying in educational institutions and who need financial assistance are included.

Essential Requirements

• The child must have at least 70% attendance in school.
• The child’s mother must be a regular beneficiary of the Benazir Kafalat Program. This program has been introduced specifically for the children of regular beneficiaries of the Benazir Kafalat Program.
• Only those children whose B form is prepared by NADRA will be included.

Registration Procedure

If your children fall within the age limits mentioned above, you can easily get them registered with Benazir Taleemi Wazaif. The procedure is as follows:

• Go to the nearest Benazir Income Support Program office with your child.
• Carry your child’s B-Form (issued by NADRA), as it is used to identify the child.
• Present the B-form and your identity card to the relevant staff at the office so that they can complete the child’s registration.
• After registration, you will be given an enrollment slip, which you will submit to your child’s educational institution.
• After filling out the enrollment slip from the educational institution, submit it again to the BISP office with the child’s name, class, and attendance details.
• After completing this process, if the child completes 70% attendance, the scholarship will be released in his/her name.

Let me clarify one thing here for your guidance: if any of your children is already part of the Taleemi Wazaif program and you have recently changed his school, then you people will have to immediately go to the Benazir Income Support Program office and inform them about this. If you do not go to the BISP office in time and inform them about the change of school of your child, then your child’s scholarship will be stopped, and you people will have to face future problems. Therefore, you are requested to follow this instruction immediately to avoid any kind of problems.

Quarterly Stipend Rate

The following stipend has been fixed for male and female students under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program, which is given every three months:

Primary	Rs. 1,500	Rs. 2,000
Secondary	Rs. 2,500	Rs. 3,000
Higher Secondary	Rs. 4,000	Rs. 4,500

The amount has been kept higher, especially for female students, so that parents get more encouragement for their daughters’ education. In addition, if a girl completes higher secondary, she is also given a special bonus amount of Rs. 3,000, which is a commendable step for encouragement.

Important instructions for parents

• Pay attention to your children’s education and send them to school regularly so that their attendance is complete.
• At the time of registration, carry all the necessary documents, like the B form and CNIC of the parents.
• Do not forget to submit the enrollment slip to the school on time.
• If there is any delay or problem with the scholarship, please contact the nearest BISP office.
• Women whose children are studying in a madrasa must also complete the registration of their children.
