Benazir Income Support Program (BISP 8171) is no less than a boon for millions of families in Pakistan who are facing inflation and financial difficulties. This program is specially designed for poor and deserving women so that they can manage their household expenses easily. How to Check Your Eligibility and Payment

Using the 8171 web portal is very easy and does not require any additional cost or agent. You can know your details in just a few minutes.

• First of all, open www.8171.bisp.gov.pk on your mobile or computer.
• Enter your 13-digit National Identity Card number without dashes.
• Type the security code (captcha) correctly.
• Click on submit and check your status on the screen.
• If your status is “Ready for Payment”, it means your installment is ready. If “Survey Required” appears, you need to update new data.

Alternative method (SMS service)

If internet is not available, just send an SMS with your National Identity Card number to 8171. You will get your eligibility and status instantly in response. Remember, send this SMS from the same SIM that is registered in your name.

September 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The quarterly installment of Rs. 13,500 under the BISP Kafalat Program will be available only to those individuals who meet the following criteria:

• You must have a valid and unexpired CNIC.
• Your PMT score should be less than 32 as determined by NADRA and National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) survey.
• The head of the household should be a woman who is widowed, divorced or managing the household finances on her own.
• Transgender individuals are also eligible with a CNIC verified by NADRA.
• In case of double registration or fake registration, the payment will be stopped.
• It is mandatory to update the NSER survey by June 2025, otherwise the installment may be suspended.

How will the money be received?

BISP has introduced several methods to make the payments more transparent and easy so that people in cities and villages can benefit equally.

• Bank ATM: Visit an HBL or Bank Alfalah ATM, insert your card, enter your PIN and withdraw money after biometric verification.
• Bank Counters: Visit designated branches and collect money by showing your original ID card.
• BISP Campuses: Cash can be collected after biometric verification from specially established centers in rural areas.
• Retailers: Jazz Cash, Easy Paisa and HBL Konnect approved agents also provide payment after biometric verification.
• Direct Bank Account Transfer: From September 2025, some registered women will receive payment directly into their personal bank accounts.

Always remember to carry your original ID card and get a receipt. If any agent asks for additional fees, refuse as all BISP facilities are absolutely free.

• CNIC error: Visit NADRA office and get a new or updated CNIC.

• SMS not received: Register your SIM on the same CNIC you are eligible for and update your details at BISP office.
