Know How To Apply For Minority Card; September 2025 Update
The Punjab government has taken another big step for the poor and deserving families of the province. On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the number of “minority cards” has been increased from fifty thousand to seventy-five thousand. This initiative will prove to be a new hope for thousands of families of the minority community.

What is a Minority Card?
Minority Card is a welfare program launched by the Punjab government under which financial assistance is provided to deserving minority families. Through this card, every eligible family is given a monthly stipend so that they can meet their basic needs.

Now the government has increased the number of cards to extend this facility to more families, after which more people will be able to benefit from this program.

How much will the monthly stipend be?
According to the Punjab government, every deserving family will be provided Rs. 10,500 per month through the Minority Card. This amount will be given directly to the head of the family so that he can easily meet his household expenses.
Eligibility criteria for obtaining the card
There are certain conditions set for obtaining the minority card so that this facility reaches only the genuine beneficiaries.
Some important points of eligibility are:
- The applicant must belong to the minority community.
- The applicant must have a National Identity Card (CNIC).
- The age should be at least 18 years.
- The applicant’s Poverty Milestone (PMT) should be 45 or less.
Only those people whose records are available in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) or Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will be registered.
Online Registration Method
Eligible people can complete their registration online from home. The government has created a web portal for registration. To apply, the candidate will have to enter their information.

Last Date for Registration
The registration process will continue from September 2, 2025 to September 30, 2025. During this period, those who complete their application will be eligible for the card in the next phase.
Special Instructions for the Public
The Punjab Government has clarified that in the first phase, 50,000 families were given this facility, but now the number has been increased to 75,000. Therefore, all eligible persons have been instructed to register as soon as possible so that they can benefit from this facility.
